A Material Rooted in Place
Solidwool is an innovative composite made up of 50% British wool and 50% bio-resin. Developed in Devon, England as a sustainable alternative to traditional petrochemical composites, this material uses coarse wool fibers from native British sheep breeds as reinforcement—much like glass fibers in traditional composites—turning an overlooked resource into something durable, distinctive, and deeply connected to the land. The finished result is a refined addition to the Barnes, introducing a one-of-a-kind material not typically found on your standard everyday carry.
